A security-locking letterbox provides a deterrent against mail and identify theft by securing incoming mail in a locked compartment. A locking mail box of this design has separate compartments for incoming and outgoing mail.
Some of our locking mail boxes have storage compartments with vandal security baffles inside. This design makes it difficult for anyone to reach into the mail drop slot and remove mail through the incoming slot.

A mailbox with a rear door allows the homeowner to retrieve mail from the rear of the mailbox. This is a convenient option, particularly if it is unsafe to step onto the street or highway.

A mailbox with a clear polycarbonate window built into the rear of the compartment saves the homeowner time and effort by helping to determine whether a locked mailbox contains mail prior to unlocking it.

Oversized compartments with expanded storage capabilities for parcels are available for your Mailbox of Distinction. A larger than normal door is located in the rear of a mailbox for convenient access to the compartment contents.

Customers that do not retrieve their mail often will be interested in our extra capacity letter compartments with expanded storage capabilities.

If you choose to have a locking mailbox and you intend to leave mail for carrier pick up, then you will require a separate outgoing mail compartment. Outgoing mail compartments are located in plain view inside or adjacent to the incoming mail slot. Postal regulations do not mandate that a mailbox facilitate outgoing mail if the homeowner is willing to deposit mail elsewhere.
