Mailbox Flags

The function of a mailbox flag is to alert the postal carrier that you have outgoing mail. A mailbox flag is not required if you will not be placing outgoing mail in their mailbox.

Did you know that the United States Postal Service (U.S.P.S) regulates the color and design of mailbox flags? The most common color utilized for a mailbox flag is red. The postal service prohibits the use of any shade of green, brown, yellow or blue.

Mail box flag “designs” are regulated by the U.S.P.S. Mailboxes of Distinction will select from approved postal service designs when creating your Mailbox of Distinction.
