A single 20-amp, 110-volt primary electrical circuit to the location of the mail box is a requirement for internal illumination. Mailboxes of Distinction will supply an internally-mounted junction box and a conduit sweep for connecting the primary electrical circuit to the mail box.
All internally-illuminated Mailboxes of Distinction include an external electrical disconnect switch to safely turn off the electric to the mail box for the purpose of performing routine maintenance, such as changing lamps.
