Our Manufacturing Process

Mailboxes of Distinction are hand-crafted structures fabricated of high-quality materials. Each custom Mailbox of Distinction is manufactured by skilled craftsmen in our state-of-the-art production facility. In our manufacturing process, Mailboxes of Distinction utilizes lightweight aluminum, specialty metals, custom veneers, and quality finishes.

Pictured above: our skilled artisans pay attention to every detail when fabricating your custom Mailbox of Distinction. This Mailbox of Distinction is being prepped to receive its custom finishes and embellishments.

Our custom mailboxes are not the same products as the standard masonry mailboxes that are commnly seen throughout many neighborhoods.

The Mailboxes of Distinction custom manufacturing process is below:

The Framework: In this first step, an internal aluminum frame is constructed in the shape of your custom mail box design.
The Custom Letterbox: The letter box compartment(s) is securely installed into the framework.
The Support Pole: A vertical support pole is installed into the framework.
The Casing: We enclose the framework in a protective aluminum covering.
The Embellishments: The custom embellishments unique to your mail box are applied to the casing.
The Custom Finishes: In this final step, the decorative textures and finishes are applied to your mailbox.

CUSTOM MAILBOXES :

The finishes used on each Mailbox of Distinction will vary depending upon the unique textures and finishes exclusive to each home. The exterior surfaces of each Mailbox of Distinction typically receive one or more of the following finishes: paint, spray texture, fine metals and/or cladding.
