Mailboxes of Distinction finishes duplicate the materials used in the construction of your home. The finishes vary depending upon the architecture exclusive to each home. The exterior surfaces of each Mailbox of Distinction typically receive one or more of the following finishes:
The primary type of paint we utilize is polyurethane acrylic enamel. This enamel is the same paint used on automobiles. Therefore, you may expect long life with reasonable maintenance and care on your part.

The common paint finishes are satin, semi-gloss and high-gloss. Satin finishes are intentionally produced in a matte texture to reduce gloss. High-gloss finishes commonly receive multiple clear top coats for a high luster. All of the above finishes protect your mailbox and ensure that they will last for years to come.

We frequently utilize decorative textured finishes that are spray applied. Our most popular texture is a “simulated stucco” coating. This custom finish can be modified to closely match the stucco finish on your home.

When appropriate, we utilize fine metals in the finishing process. Standard metals include: brass, bronze, anodized aluminum, stainless steel, copper and titanium. These metals are available in natural satin, brushed, oxidized, polished and patina finishes.
